Hey, Rascals...
WOW. To quote Andrew after our third score "Coach, I can't believe what's happening!" Needless to say, we played very well in every area. I'm very proud of you. This Saturday we have a big challenge to finish the season with. We play the Red Raiders at 9:00 and the Chargers at 12:00. Those are our last games of the season. So... I want you to try your best and have fun this last week of practice and on Saturday. Let's finish out the season with our best effort!
Game Balls:

Practice schedule this week:
Tuesday and Thursday: 5:30 to 6:30. I've moved practice up 30 minutes because it will be dark an hour earlier.
Saturday: Be at Miller Park at 8:00 ready to practice. It helps so much to be able to go over things before the game. Parents, if at all possible please have your Rascals present at both games this Saturday (9 and 12). I know schedules are tight, but we need "all hands on deck".
Mazzio's Pizza: Since we'll play our last game at 12:00, all are invited to go to Mazzio's again immediately after the game and celebrate our season!

Practice Today
Rascals...
It's been raining today, but it isn't now... so practice is on. Hopefully it will stay dry for a few hours at least. See you at 6:00!

Rascals 7 Longhorns 6
Rascals win! Rrrrrrrrascals win!
The Rascals offense moved the ball up and down the field Saturday, but were only able to put the ball in the end zone on their opening drive of the game. Another touchdown was taken away by an "inadvertent whistle" by one of the officials. 7 points ended up being enough as the Rascals defense was suffocating, getting two interceptions deep in Longhorn territory.
Game balls:
Offense: Brady (touchdown and two completions) and Avery (two receptions)
Defense: T.J. and Garrett (an interception apiece)
Practice this Tuesday and Thursday.
Saturday's game will be played at 10:00 at Freedom Park located right next to our practice field between Pirtle Elementary and Lake Belton Middle School. Please arrive at the field at 9:00 AM. We'll practice on our practice field before the game. This worked well last week.
Our makeup game will be on November 7 at 12:00 PM. We will play two games at Miller Park that day: 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Practice today has been canceled and rescheduled to this Saturday 9:00 AM at Miller Park. Please arrive at the park before 9:00 AM dressed and ready for the game. We will practice for an hour before our game at 10:00 AM.

Everyone is invited to come to Mazzio's Pizza for lunch this Saturday following the game! Let me know if you're planning to come and I'll call ahead so we can sit together. See you Saturday at 9:00 AM.

Rascals: 6 Red Raiders: 14
Our Rascals played very hard today but came up a little short against a very good team. Our defense was strong for a second straight game, but we still need some more work on positioning and flag pulling. Our offense moved the ball well at times but has yet to find it's "rhythm". We will continue to work on these skills and improve. Parents, please help us by making an effort to have your Rascal at practice on time and by helping them keep a positive mindset even when things aren't going well. One of the great things about sports is that it teaches you how to handle adversity. I heard a quote once that has really stuck with me: "A person is not defined by how they handle success. It is adversity that reveals the true self".

Hey, Rascals...
Unless it's flooding, we'll have practice today on the LBMS parking lot (I'm sure the field is a mess). So wear regular shoes instead of cleats today. See you at 6:00 PM!
